I was gonna name my book LEAVIN FRISCO. Some chick from Frisco looked down her nose at me and said I should name it LEAVING SAN FRANCISCO. I wound up calling it FAST CARS MATE 4 LIFE, but Frisco is called Frisco wherever it comes up!!

Great. Now the local residents can buy more expensive sandwiches and wine. Who cares about having to carry your loads of laundry three blocks further? Really, I enjoy the extra exercise after long work days. There weren't enough cafes, wine bars and bistros in Hayes Valley anyway.

Past 75 words it stopped being an invitation and became a plea for help.

A question about the manifesto: Who was the writer who initiated the non-Frisco-calling movement?

if you want want a fun, vibrant, open minded City, *act* like it. Do you go to a friend's house and have fun and then call his parents names that, by social norms, are considered disrespectful?

Have some respect for the City. Better still, have some respect for people who disagree with you. You said:

"But we will no longer blindly follow the herd. We will not omit a perfectly acceptable word from our vocabulary just because everybody else says we should."

I'm not telling you you should omit it. And unlike what you ridiculously assert, I blindly follow no one. *THAT* is the real legacy of San Francisco, not your prancing and preening and expecting everyone to give you free rein without consequences.

Call the City whatever you like, but like someone who disregard the respect that I or my family or friends deserve, I'll criticize you for it and call you on it.

So stop the temper tantrums and contrarian bullshit.
